Prof. Bao Jinsong attended European Starch Round Table and AACCI annual meeting

Prof. Bao Jinsong attended the European Starch Round Table held at Norwich, UK, on Oct.17—19 upon invitation by the meeting committee. He gave an invited talk entitled “Multiple enzyme complexes formation for starch biosynthesis in the developing seeds of indica rice” presenting their current work on the rice starch biosynthesis. All the participants enjoyed the latest insights on the area of starch. Then, Prof. Bao attended the AACCI annual meeting in London on Oct.21—23, and presented a poster on“the Factors affecting the sensory quality of the cooked japonica rice”. In the meeting, Prof. Bao also moderated a symposium. Some encouraging discussions and potential collaborations were made during both meetings.
