During Jun 11th to 17th, 2018，professor Cao Jiashu and associate professor Huang Li led 15 graduate students from the institute of Vegetable science to attend the 25th International Congress on Sexual Plant Reproduction (ICSPR) in Gifu, Japan. ICSPR is the high-level international congress which focus on plant reproductive development from flowering to seed and fruit production, which has been held over half of the century. More than 340 participants from different countries such as the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, participated in this congress. During this time, 72 scholars made excellent oral reports about nine sessions, which including flowering and floral development, gametogenesis, pollen pistil interactions, gametophyte interaction& fertilization and so on. Over 220 posters were presented during the poster session. 13 students from the Institute of Vegetable Science took part in this session as presenters, introducing their research results and exchanging the academic ideas with other scholars. Their works were widely recognized by participants. This congress provides students with a chance to gain a better understanding of advanced research fields. It also lies a foundation of the future international exchanges and cooperation.
