From January 28th to February 6th, 2018, invited by the Free University of Berlin and the University of Munich, graduate student Lv Mengting from the Institute of Crop Science visits Germany as a member of the Graduate Student Exchange Delegation to conduct a 10-day exchange study. The aim of the exchange program is to understand the political, economic, cultural, and educational aspects of Germany, broaden the international perspective and enhance international communication capabilities with multiple perspectives, multiple orientations, and deep levels. The exchange delegation was led by Jiang Xiaoli, deputy director of the Postgraduate Discipline Construction Department of Zhejiang University. The teacher Wang Meiqing and 12 graduate student leaders from different departments of the university attended the exchange.

The 10-day exchange included lectures, field visits, teacher-student exchanges and cultural visits. The development models of China and Germany are different, and their national conditions are also different. It is believed that the graduate students will be able to apply what they have learned to help practical work and contribute to the construction of schools and the development of the country. This exchange program was one of the series of “Young Student Dreaming Silk Road” series of foreign exchange activities that actively responded to the national “One Belt and One Road” initiative. Supported by overseas exchange funds, it aims to cultivate graduate students with an international perspective and improve the leadership of graduate student leaders.
