Undergraduate student Chen Jiawei participates in the Young Leaders Program: Environment and Sustainable Development in the University of Sydney

From Jan.28th to Feb.10th, 2018, undergraduate student Chen Jiawei from Institute of Landscape Architecture participated in the Young Leaders Program: Environment and Sustainable Development in the University of Sydney.

The program is developed and implemented by the University of Sydney’s International Leaders Program and consists of lectures, workshops, discussions and field visits; and is delivered by academics from the University, members from the industry, government and NGOs so to provide students with a complete and comprehensive review of the latest development in all aspects of environmental and sustainable development in Australia and the world.

During the whole program, Chen Jiawei has attended several modules concerning about biodiversity, sustainable economics, food security, sustainable design etc, which broadens each attendant’s horizons widely and has every participant absorbed different thoughts towards environment and sustainable development. Besides, there were two fantastic field visits which allowed all students to experience the nature and realize the significance of environmental protection.

With attendants from several top universities, including Tsinghua, Fudan, USTC, Nanjing and company of USU (University of Sydney Union) ambassadors, it is of great pleasure to greet amazing people, share different ideas and expand dimensions of thoughts as well as enjoy the impressive scenery of Sydney in its summer.
