From Dec 7 to Dec 13, 2017, Prof. Huang Jianhua from Institute of Insect Science visited Columbia University, under the financial support of NSFC #31622048. During his stay in US, Professor Huang Jianhua visited several professors and their labs in Department of Biological Sciences, Columbia University, including Professor Daniel Kalderon, Professor Tulle Hazelrigg and Professor Martin Chalfie (2008 Nobel prize laureate ). He gave a talk “How do the wasps control their Drosophila hosts, the behaviors and the physiology” to the faculty members and PhD students. They further discussed their established collaborations, and develop new initiatives to expand their collaborations on Drosophila developmental biology.
