Undergraduate Qiu Tian Takes Part in UC Davis Summer Session Exchange Program

   Undergraduate student Qiu Tian from the Department of Agronomy took part in UC Davis Summer Session from Aug. 7th to Sept. 15th, 2017. This exchange program offers a chance for students all over the world to take the same courses as UC Davis student.

  Students need to select courses on UCD website before the program. Qiu Tian selected Toxic Tragedies and Marketing for the Technology-Based Enterprise. In these two courses, he participated in group discussions and presentations, personal research and presentation and many other assignments.

  During the 6-week stay, Qiu Tian not only learned more knowledge, but also experience American culture. He got along with students and professors in UCD, practiced his written and spoken English, and opened up his horizon.

  The UCD is a public research university and land-grant University as well as one of the 10 campuses of the University of California (UC) system. It is located in Davis, California, just west of Sacramento, and has the third-largest enrollment in the UC System after UCLA and UC Berkeley.  The university has been labeled one of the Public Ivies, a publicly funded university considered to provide a quality of education comparable to those of the Ivy League.
