In July 2017, undergraduate student Zhang Xuan from the department of horticulture participated in the school exchange program and visited the University of Manchester for a three-week summer cultural exchange study. The communication aims to cultivate and enhance students' academic research ability and broaden their international vision, and promote the cooperation between Zhejiang University and the University of Manchester. The exchange team consists of 6 students from different majors and grades in the whole school.
During the exchange, the students experienced different teaching mode and culture. With students from different countries and professional backgrounds, they discussed the development of Manchester, the process of western medical treatment and the glory and decline of the Beatles'. In class, students completed three papers and three presentations seriously. In addition, the students also participated in the weekly Field Trip, they traveled Chester, York, Liverpool, Leeds and other surrounding towns, and shaped a more comprehensive idea of UK.
