Prof. Li Hongye in the Institute of Biotechnology participated in the 6th (2017) Asian Conference on Plant Pathology held in Jeju Island, Korea during Sept 12-18, 2017. This conference attracted about 700 representatives from South Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, Australia, the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Myanmar, etc. to attend.

The theme of this conference is Translation from Genomes to Disease Management. Conference arranged 12 plenary lectures and 44 concurrent sessions, The lectures and concurrent sessions included plant-pathogen interaction; multi-level nutrient layer interaction; molecular plant pathology; genomics and phytobiome; tropical and subtropical crop diseases; cereal diseases; horticultural crop diseases; disease diagnosis and Quarantine; biological control; chemical control and so on.

Prof. Li Hongye was invited to give an oral presentation entitled Molecular mechanisms of Resistance to DMI fungicides in Penicillium digitatum in concurrent session of the tropical and subtropical crop diseases, and presented a poster entitled Functional characterization of the Dsc E3 ligase complex in the citrus postharvest pathogen Penicillium digitatum . After the conference, Prof. Li participated a workshop regarding Prevention and Control of Citrus Disease held by Citrus Research Institute, the National Horticultural & Herbal Science. RDA, and also visited the Citrus Research Institute after the conference.
