On the invitation from international Plant oxygen group, POG, Prof. YU Jingquan, Prof. ZHOU Yanhong and PhD student LYU Xiangzhang of vegetable science institute attended the 13th international conference on reactive oxygen and nitrogen species in plants held in Izmir TURKEY during 10th to 13th Sep., 2017.
The POG meeting, held every two years, is the one of most important meeting on Free Radical Research in plants. The 13rd POG Meeting was focused on “Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species in Plants: Emerging Roles in Plant Form and Function”. The scientific programme was comprised of plenary lectures by distinguish researchers on the field from all over the world. Prof. YU Jingquan and Prof. ZHOU Yanhong established valuable scientific connections with famous scientists in this area. PhD student LYU Xiangzhang from YU’s lab introduced their research by poster titled “Crosstalk between Nitric Oxide and MPK1/2 Mediates Cold Acclimation-induced Chilling Tolerance in Tomato”.
