On Sept.22th, 2017, prof. Robert Hackman, the world famous nutritionist from the University of California, Davis (UCD) visited tea science department to carry out comprehensive and substantive cooperation. Prof. Chen Xuexin, dean of the college of agriculture and biotechnology (CAB), Prof. Tu Youying , associate prof. Xu Hairong and Dr. Ye Jianhui from tea science department gave him a warm reception. They had effective communication about the exchange of the students, the joint training of the faculty and the Declaration of national natural science funds.
As early as April this year, prof. Robert has been invited to attend the 1st Zhuang Wanfang Tea Science Symposium and International Innovation Conference on Oolong Tea, and has made a topic report. During the 120th anniversary celebration of Zhejiang University, Ms Joanna, the vice President of UCD has met with prof. Chen Xuexin to talk about the cooperation between two Universities.
In November, a PhD student from the lab of prof. Wang Yuefei will come to the lab of prof. Robert for a two-year joint training. Before this, a number of graduate students and undergraduate students from CAB came to UCD for academic exchange.
