Before students went to UC Davis, they could choose three professors as their potential mentors. Pan Mingzhe joined Fisher Lab in Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) to work for projects on determination of protein structures. On the last day of the program, every student presented their own project by a presentation or poster in International Communication Center in UC Davis.

During the 8-week program, not only did students gain more advanced experimental skills, but they also get access to different culture in American labs. They made friends with graduates and professors and improved English fluency. What’s more, they went to Lake Tahoe on north California for a trip.
