PhD student Chen Lifei from Institute of Vegetable Science visits The University of Newcastle for cooperation research

PhD student Chen Lifei from the Institute of Vegetable Science supported by the International Cooperation Research and Exchange program of Zhejiang University, went to Australia for cooperation research from December 18th, 2016 to July 1th, 2017.

She joined in the research team of prof. Ruan Yongling who is a full Professor in Plant Biology, Director of Australia-China Research Centre for Crop Improvement and formal Head of Biological Sciences Department at the University of Newcastle, Australia. His team aims: (1) To elucidate mechanisms by which sugar metabolism, transport and signalling regulates reproductive development; (2) To identify key regulatory genes and signals that control nutrient distribution and cell growth; (3) To develop novel solutions to sustain reproductive development under abiotic stress, such as heat and drought.

Chen Lifei really thanked for the half year experience in Australia. She has more energy to face the challenge of future study and life.
