During June 21st to 24th, 2016, PhD. Candidates Xie Xiulan, Zhang Aidi, and Jia Sheng, came from the Fruit Science Institute, attended VIII International Postharvest Symposium, held in Cartagena in Spain.
International Postharvest Symposium is an important symposium in horticulture worldwide, which is held every four years. The subject of the 8th symposium is 'enhancing supply chain and consumer benefits: ethical and technological issues'. The participants, including the famous experts and professors in postharvest field from 30 countries, discussed and shared cutting-edge science and technology and their progresses with each other. During the conference, PhD. Candidates Xie Xiulan, Zhang Aidi, and Jia Sheng showed the progresses in citrus fruit degreening, kiwi fruit texture, and hypoglycemic effects of Huyou by oral poster presentation, respectively, and discussed and communicated with the international counterparts. It was worth mentioning that PhD. Candidate Jia Sheng was awarded ‘Best Poster Presentation’ by the organizing committee.
