The 35th Annual Meeting for the American Society for Virology was held from June 18 to 22 on the beautiful Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. The ASV 2016 program included symposia, workshops, poster sessions, and special events on a wide range of topics in virology. Ph.D. student Sun Kai and Lu Lina from the Institute of Biotechnology had been invited to attend the meeting.
Annual Meeting for the American Society for Virology attracts outstanding virologists all around the world every year. Hotspots in the virology research, international cooperation and communication would be discussed during the meeting.Ph.D. student Sun Kai was invited to produce a report with the theme of "Glycoprotein and matrix protein requirements for budding of a plant nucleorhabdovirus". He introduced the latest research in the plant negative strands RNA virus.
