2016 Mini- Workshop on Fruit Quality Biology is held in Zhejiang University

The 2016 Mini- Workshop on Fruit Quality Biology was held in Zijingang Campus, Zhejiang University during April 10-11. More than 30 participants from international (the United States, United Kingdom, France, New Zealand) and China attended the conference. The domestic participants come from more than 20 universities/colleges and scientific research institutes, including Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Chongqing University, South China Agricultural University, Shandong Agricultural University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University , Qingdao Agricultural University, Sichuan University, Hainan University, Zhejiang University, etc.
The theme of the conference is the Biological Studies on the Fruit Quality. The contents included: “Change of Physiology and Quality, Molecular Regulation of Fruit Ripening”, “Fruit Quality Genomics”, “New Breeding Technologies and Orchard Managements” “Plant Freezing Tolerance”, etc.
         This workshop strengthened the link between Zhejiang University and the world famous research groups in the area of fruit quality biology. The discussion and prospects raised during the workshop will play important role in the progress of the fundamental research in horticulture science.
