From Feb.21st to 27th, on the invitation of prof. Park, PhD student .Zhuo Jichong from institute of insect science went to Shizuoka University of Japan to take part in the 2016 international Symposium toward the Future of Advanced Researches in Shizuoka University ～Joint international Workshops on Advanced Nanovision Science / Advanced Green Science /Promotion of Global Young Researchers in Shizuoka University. In the symposium, all the researchers and students introduced their work in detail, and Zhuo also showed his work about the gene TOR’s functions in Brown Planthopper ( one pest of rice). He gave a speech titled “TOR signaling pathway influence male fertility of Nilaparvata lugens”. He learned a lot of knowledge about the nanoscience, food science and biotechnology, and also found some new ways to use his research results in the pest control.
