Assistant Prof. Zhu Jinwen attended the 18th International Plant Protection Congress held in Berlin, Germany, in August 24 to 28, 2015, and gave an oral presentation titled “Resistance of Ammannia arenaria to bensulfuron-methyl and its competition with paddy rice”, and poster presentation titled” Mechanism of Ammannia arenaria resistance to Bensulfuron-Methyl ”.
The congress was held in Berlin Freedom University, More than 1,000 representatives from all over the world, including four professors from Zhejiang University attended the congress. Beside plenary keynote lectures, there were several hundreds of talks on different topics during the conference. The social activity of the congress was held in the famous Berlin Botanic Garden. During the congress, Assistant Prof. Jinwen Zhu met Prof. Baruch Rubin, the president of international weed science association and other scientists, had a discussion in detail with them concerning herbicide resistance and its management and invasive alien plants management, and exchanged the interest for cooperation in the future.
