Prof. Zheng Jingwu from Institute of Biotechnology attends the “47th Annual Meeting of the organization of Nematologists of Tropical American” held at Varadero, Cuba

On invitation of the national Center for Animal and Plant Health (CENSA) of Cuba, Prof. Zheng Jingwu from Institute of Biotechnology attended “47th Annual Meeting of the organization of Nematologysts of Tropical American” held at Varadero, Cuba from May 17 to 22.
The meeting including 5 topic symposium, i.e. Nematode diversity, identification and taxonomy, Host-nematode interactions, Quarantine nematodes, sanitation and risk reduction, Microbial control of nematodes, and Nematode managements. More than two hundred nematologists from 25 countries including Argentina, Belgiun, Brasil, Canada, Chile, China,Colombia, Costa RIca, Ecuador, Spain, France, Italy, Israel, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, UK, USA, Swiyzerland, Venezuela and Cuba attending the meeting. Professsor Zheng Jingwu give a presentation related to host specificity and reproductivity of Heterodera glycines.
the Meeting brought together many experts and students from the diverse parts of the world, making an opportunity to share experiences on nematology and other professionals from nematology related disciplines, provided a framework for improving or creating networks for projects, information exchange and other collaborative activities.
