Professor Shen Zhicheng visited AgBiome Inc at the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA from Dec. 11th to 23rd. During the visit Professor Shen and Dr. Scott Uknes, CEO of AgBiome, discussed potential to combine the expertise of both sides to develop novel technologies for the world agriculture market. AgBiome is interested in help to bring the agricultural biotechnologies developed in China to the world. During the trip in the USA, Professor Shen also visited Syngenta Biotechnology at the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina at the invitation of Dr. Tong Zhu. A meeting was hold at Syngenta with Dr. Paul Oeller, Director of International collaboration of Syngenta, and his associates. Both sides expressed interests in collaboration in major subjects of crop biotechnology, and agreed to continue to discuss the detail for possible collaboration. Professor Shen also visited patent law firm Alston & Birds LLC., which is currently working for the patent application of Professor Shen’s group.
