2014 International Symposium on Tea Science and Tea Culture was held from Nov. 4th to Nov. 6th in Jeju Korea. The symposium was co-hosted by Korean Tea Society, Tea Research Institute of Zhejiang University and Tea Science Society of Zhejiang, China. About 150 top researchers in tea science and tea culture, from America, Indonesia, Sri lanka, Japan, China and Korea, took part in this symposium. It covered tea processing and manufacture, tea breeding and physiology, tea cultivation and biochemistry, tea culture and health. Apart from academic communication in these areas, participators also discussed about how to improve the international cooperation of tea science and tea culture.
At November 4th, Professor Liang from tea research institute of Zhejiang University reported the development trend of tea industry in China; Professor Tu reported the recent development of tea culture in China. 26 participators from Tea Research Institute of Zhejiang University discussed with other participators and exhibited their researches.
