During Aug. 16-23, 2014, Dr. Li Jiancai, Yu Zhaonan, Ye Wenfeng and Ye Meng from institute of insect science attended the 15th international Symposium on Insect-Plant Relationships in University of Neuchâtel, Switzer land. The symposium which holds every three years represents the highest level of this field.
This symposium lasted for a week, with 70 oral presentations and 98 posters. The contents were very abundant and wonderful. This symposium consisted of seven issues: (1) multitrophic interactions, (2)pollination, (3)belowground interactions, (4)plant domestication and application, (5)plant volatiles, (6)metabolomics and molecular mechanisms, (7)phylogenetic and coevolution. The researchers were impressed and inspired by the wonderful presentations. The delegation also visited labs and learnt from Test methods and management modes.
The delegation prepared wonderful posters and received consistent high praise of foreign peers.
