Recently, graduate student of Crop Science Institute, branch secretary of undergraduates of tea Communist Party, Lu Zhihui was awarded the title of outstanding communist party member, and commended by the Provincial Education Committee. What’s more, he is also the only winner this year in our students.
He services our students wholeheartedly. During the time he served as the head of student union, he took part in shaping Zhejiang university campus ”right man” image, which plays a role of bridge between school and students, and gets the praise from students. Only in 2010, “right man” dealt with complaint and suggestion from students 124 times.
During he served in Zhaojue, a poverty alleviation program, he raised money and all kinds of contributions equivalent to more than 3000 million, funded 649 poor students with good academic performance. His story was reported by Zhejiang Daily and got social responds enthusiastically.
Back to school after served in Zhaojue, he was the director of zhejiang university youth volunteer guidance center, dedicated to the promotion of volunteer service spirit and philosophy, call for more people to participate in volunteer service. The total number of hours of voluntary service increased 66,886.5 hours a year. What’s more, doing volunteer has gradually become a new trend of Zhejiang University campus life.
