Students Xu Hongxing and Wei Jing participate the 2nd International Hemipteran-Plant Interaction Symposium

From Jun.21-27, PhD students Xu Hongxing and Wei Jing attended the 2nd International Hemipteran-Plant Interaction Symposium in University of California, Riverside. The symposium is held every three years, and it is an essential gathering for researchers and students in insect and plant science.
Topics of this symposium included: (1) Phloem and Xylem Physiology and Vascular Sap-Feeding Hemipterans; (2) Interactions Between Plants and Non-Vascular-Feeding Hemipterans; (3) Molecular Biology of Hemipteran-Plant Interactions; (4) Interactions Among Hemipterans, Their Symbionts and Host Plants; (5) Transmission of Plant Pathogens by Hemipteran Vectors; (6) Omics workshop. Xu Hongxing and Wei Jing had a poster and an oral presentation, respectively.
