Professor Ronald L. Phillips, a member of American National Academy of Sciences and a winner of Wolf Prize in Agriculture, visited Institute of Nuclear and Agriculture Science of CAB upon invitation of Professor Shu Qingyao from March 9 to 12.
Professor ZhuShuijin, deputy dean of CAB, gave a warm reception to the guests. Then Prof. Phillips visited some laboratories and joined the academic symposium hosted by prof.Zhu, discussing the ongoing research programs and recent advances in Agriculture, Genomics and Biotechnology. Besides, Prof. Phillips dilivered a brilliant speech about Norman E. Borlaug and the future of Green Revolution. In addition, Prof. Phillips also gave a lecture "Plant genetic resources and crop improvement" for undergraduate. The students were very excited to have the opportunity to learn from the great Agriculturist.
