Ph.D student Zeng Jiamei from Institute of Insect Science visits the University of Neuchatel , Switzerland for Short-term Joint Study

   Zeng Jiamei, a Ph.D student from Institute of Insect Science has invited by Professor Ted Turlings to visit his laboratory located in the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland from Jun 6th, 2018 to July 10th, 2018.

   Prof. Ted Turlings is the vice-director of the institute of biology, and director of the centre of competence in chemical ecology. His lab was mainly work on below- and aboveground multi-trophic level interactions, and had published over 200 papers on many authoritative journals. Porf. Ted Turlings has a longstanding fruitful research collaboration with Prof. Lou Yonggen, who is the supervisor of Zeng Jiamei. This short-term visiting was mainly focused on the sharing and learning of the techniques. In addition, students shared part of the work achievements by oral presentations.

   Through a month of joint study, Zeng Jiamei not only learned several new techniques, but also broadened international perspective and academic communication ability. This would further facilitate the expansion of the collaboration between the University of Neuchatel and Zhejiang University.
