Chinese delegation attends the 6th Boseong World Tea Expo and Gwangju Tea Expo

From May 31 to June 3, the 6th Boseong World Tea Expo and Gwangju Tea Expo was successfully held in Gwangju, the capital of Korean cuisine. The exposition was co-sponsored by South Korea's Boseong-gun Government, Gwangju Government and Korea International Tea Club, aimed to promote the development of the tea industry in Korean, promote the tea culture, and attract more people to drink tea.

The Chinese delegation of 19 experts and leaders from research institutes, colleges, tea museums and tea companies attended the fair. Professor Tu Youying from Zhejiang University was the head of the delegation, Gao Kui, the chairman of Henan Ruihongxiang Tea Co., Ltd, was the deputy head and Dr. Kim Eunhye, a postdoctoral fellow at Zhejiang University, was the secretary general.

The opening ceremony of Boseong World Tea Expo was held at KimDae-jungConvention Center, starting with the performance of national musical instruments and Korean traditional tea ceremony. As a very influential tea event, Lee Jinsu, chairman of Korea Tea Association and deputy head of Boseong-gun, South Korea, Professor Son Yeonsuk, Mr. Bruce of Urasenke, Professor Tu Youying from Zhejiang University, Professor Xu Yulian from Malaysia, Professor Cai Rongzhang from Zhangzhou Institute of Science and Technology, Fujian Province, China, and many distinguished guests from all over the world attended the opening ceremony with more than 500 people.

In addition, this Expo also held the 6th World Tea Tasting Competition, which included 30 green tea samples and 25 black tea samples, as well as special tea samples and tea processed products. The competition was very fierce and the quality of product was excellent. The Chinese delegation has won numerous awards with outstanding achievements, showing the charm of Chinese tea in the world.

Through this expo, we not only understood Korean consumers' selectivity to Chinese tea, but also expanded the international influence of Chinese tea. We hope that there will be more such opportunities in the future to achieve the Chinese tea, World Taste.
