Biography:

John Sall, founder and vice executive president of SAS, is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA), a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), an honorary doctor at Northern Illinois University (NIU), and honorary doctor of North Carolina State University (NCSU). In 1976, John Sall and Dr. Jim Goodnight and two other partners co-founded SAS. He designed and developed a series of early products of SAS. Due to the market demand for statistical knowledge, John Sall and his team first brought JMP software to market in 1989. With the help of Apple's graphics capabilities, JMP software dynamically presents statistical analysis. Today, JMP is suitable for Windows and Macintosh operating systems. As a desktop tool for data visualization and analysis, JMP still plays an important role in the modeling process in all walks of life. At the same time JMP software also provides a visual interface for the SAS system.
