PhD candidate Xiang Dandan from institute of pesticide and environmental toxicology visits Duke University for academic exchange

    Xiang Dandan, the PhD candidate from institute of pesticide and environmental toxicology, conducted a three-month academic exchange at Duke University from January 18th to April 17th

During the three month, Xiang Dandan conducted her research in Dr Abou-donia’s lab. Dr Abou-donia is a professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University Medical Center who specialized in the areas of neurotoxicology, neuropharmacology and neurology. The collaboration project focused on investigating nervous system injury resulting from chemical exposure and/or trauma and the mechanism of organophosphorus chemical especially organophosphorus flame retardants caused neurotoxicology by in vitro method.

In addition, she also visited the University of North Carolina and University of North Carolina State which gave her a chance to meet some experts and gained deep knowledge of this field. Good friendship and cooperation were developed between both sides.
