During Jan. 31st to Feb.17th, undergraduate student Song Chi with a specialty of applied bioscience visited the University of Sydney for Young Leaders Program: Environment and Sustainable Development. This program aims to help the next generation of leaders achieve their potential. This year, 32 students from ZJU were enrolled.

The Environment and Sustainable Development Program is a customized non-award academic program with a focus on some of the most critical issues in environment and sustainable development in Australia and the world. The program was delivered as a combination of lectures, seminars, group work and educational trips. It drew on the knowledge of experts from the University, industry, NGOs and Australian government agencies to provide students with a wide ranging perspective. In addition, students learned about Australian culture, enhance their intercultural awareness and develop leadership skills. Students also interacted with academics, industry experts, University of Sydney students and the community throughout the program.

At the University of Sydney, they studied alongside students from THU, FDU and SJTU. Although they only spent 18 days together, their friendship could be long-lasting. This cherished experience will be beneficial for them in the long run.
