Professor and Students from Institute of Insect Science Investigate Brown Planthopper Geographical Population and Attend Academic Communication in Myanmar

    On the invitation of Dr. Thet Thet from Animal Science College of Taungoo, prof. Zhang Chuanxi and PhD students Zhuo Jichong and Wang Zhechao flied to Myanmar to investigate brown planthopper geographical population and attended academic communication from December 20th to 26th. In Myanmar, professor Zhang and two students collected brown planthopper from rice field in different area and learned from local farmers about brown planthopper occurrence with the accompany of Dr. Thet Thet and students. And this investigation and academic communication is supported by National Natural Science Fund “genomic diversities of different oversea populations of the rice brown planthopper in South and Southeastern Asia, and the development of migration molecular markers”.
