Undergraduate Sheng Zhecheng goes to the University of California at Davis for exchange study

   Sept. 10th to Dec. 10th, 2016, undergraduate Sheng Zhecheng went to the University of California at Davis for exchange study about three months. Sheng Zhecheng participated in the exchange supported by the GSP (Global Study Program). Students involved in the project have to complete a certain course credits, and also have the opportunity to participate in the laboratory research.

The Global Study Program requires students to complete 12 credits in the fall quarter. The course is not limited. Sheng Zhecheng selected Bioinformatics, Regression Analysis and Plant Genetics. Through active participation in the course, Sheng Zhecheng felt the American university culture, teaching methods and learning atmosphere.Sheng Zhecheng also contacted Prof. Moore at the Institute of Evolution and Ecology for two and a half months (10 weeks) of study and research in the laboratory.

During this exchange, students also met many local friends, participated in local celebrations (such as Halloween, Thanksgiving), and experience the cultural diversity and inclusiveness. In addition, the students also visited the world famous Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf, watched an NBA game, explore the unique beauty of the United States.
