Dr. Tang Pu from Institute of Insect Sciences visited Imperial College London and the Natural History Museum joint laboratory to participate a one-year collaborative investigation, during 20 Nov. 2015 to 16 Nov. 2016, sponsored by ‘Kua Yue Project’ from College of Agriculture & Biotechnology, ZJU. The research project was focused on the systematics, molecular phylogeny and evolution, and taxonomic of hymenopteran parasitoids. During the academic visiting period, Dr. Tang Pu was involved in high put-through metagenomics projects for phylogenetic of hymenopteran parasitoids. Additionally, he checked some of the types of wasps, learnt how to manage museum and make great efforts in future on the collaborative investigation of taxonomic and phylogenetic evolution on parasitic wasps.
