During Aug 1st to Sept 9th,Undergraduate students Dong Wenting visited University of California, Davis for Global Study Program about six weeks. In this Global Study Program, students can choose courses freely. As a student of College of Agriculture & Biotechnology, Dong Wenting chose Genes & Gene Expression and Contemporary Ethical Issues to study. In the class of Genes & Gene Expression, Dr. Natzle and Dr. Crowder systematically delivered series of lectures about genes and also added a lot of knowledge related to forefronts of biology science. Contemporary Ethical Issues is a discussion class which concentrates on a lot of materials such as documentary literature, scripts, papers, movies and so on. In class, students from different countries and regions came up with their own opinions about certain ethical issues and gave some solutions.
In addition to having class, students also visited Lake Taho, San Francisco, Monterey and Stanford University. The special geographical location of California makes it possible for students to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the designation of city is also admired.
