Biography

Dr. Yinong Yang is currently a professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology, and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University. He received a B.S. in Biology from Hangzhou University in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Florida in 1994. His laboratory has been mainly working on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of rice biotic and abiotic stress tolerance and improving CRISPR/Cas9 editing tools for crop genome engineering and precision breeding.
