Master Student Geng Liang Visits the Hebrew University for Cooperative Research

   From May 18th to Aug 14th, Geng Liang, a Master student from Institute of Insect Sciences, visited Hanokh czosnek’s Lab at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for cooperative research, under the frame of a joint research program jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Israel Science Foundation. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, founded in 1918 and opened officially in 1925, is Israel’s premier university as well as its leading research institution. The Hebrew University is ranked internationally among the 100 leading universities in the world and first among Israeli universities.

During the stay, the main work of Geng liang was to develop novel means to control whiteflies, a major insect pest to agriculture in China and Israel.
