Graduate student Zhang Shuping participates in the short-term exchange to Singapore and Hong Kong

       During August 14th to 20th, 2016, graduate student Zhang Shuping majoring in Tea Science from College of Agriculture and Biotechnology visited the universities in Singapore and Hong Kong, including National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, Nanyang Technological University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The short-term exchange program directed by the Youth Committee of Zhejiang University aimed at providing a chance for the students to communicate with the students in other famous universities and explore how to run the student organizations in those universities. The program also dedicate in improving the leadership ability of the students attending the program, since the team members are all student leaders from Zhejiang University.

In August 15th and 16th, Zhang Shuping visited National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Management University (SMU), and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) together with the team numbers. They communicated with the members of the three universities and enjoyed the special university culture, and obtained precious experience on leadership and team management.

In Singapore, Zhang also learned about the country culture by visiting the National Museum of Singapore and City Planning Exhibition Hall of Singapore. In the National Museum of Singapore, there are history hall and living culture hall, which provide the students with knowledge of Singapore history and culture. As for the Singapore City Planning Exhibition Hall, it not only introduced visitors to the history of urban designing, but also showed the future of Singapore's urban planning.

In August 18th, they went to Hong Kong to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The teacher in CUHK put forward a small video on the basic situation and the history of CUHK. Its unique college system focused on spreading traditional Chinese culture left a very deep impression for the students.

Through exchanges and visits in Singapore and Hong Kong, the team members got a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the Student organizations of the University in Singapore and Hong Kong, learned about their education training mode, and broadened their horizon, from which they all benefited a lot.
