On May 12th, prof. Luo Yaoping was invited to attend a Global Tea Initiative in University of California, Davis in USA, 2016. This was an inaugural Colloquium in Davis and its theme was The Basics of Tea: Tea and People. Prof. Luo made a speech on Tea and Tea cultivars in China. In addition to Prof. Luo’s talk, scientists from UK, USA and Hong Kong also gave some relevant speeches.
The goal with the colloquium is to establish an Institute for the study of Tea Culture and Science in UC Davis. More than 300 people attended this colloquium and the speech of Prof. Luo received positive comments from the audiences and host.
