At the invitation of the scientific and organizing committees, Prof. Tian Bing from Institute of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences attended the 6th European Conference on Prokaryotic and Fungal Genomics, which was held from 29th September-2nd October, 2015 in Göttingen, Germany. The conference focused on the rapidly developing of microbial genomics and its recent progress in all fields of molecular life sciences. Prof. Ulrike Beisiegel, the president of the University of Göttingen and Prof. Bärbel Friedrich, the Vice President of the Leopoldina–German National Academy of Sciences, gave the opening remarks. The scientific topics included Microbial Genomics in Biotechnology & Industry, Microbial Communities & MetaOmics, Functional Genomics of Infectious Diseases, Functional Genomics of C. difficile Infections, Host Microbe Interplay, Global Gene Regulation & Proteome Dynamics and Systems Biology & Single Cell Genomics and related poster sessions. Over 300 researchers from European, USA, China, Japan, etc. attended the conference. During the meeting, researchers from all over the world discuss about their specific topics presented in oral contributions and poster sessions. Prof. Tian Bing communicated with the participants on new scientific findings in the fields of microbiology and visited the lab of Microbiology in the University of Göttingen.
By attendance to the conference, Prof. Tian discussed with numerous international scientists about specific topics and may initiate co-operations in the future.
