Biography
Prof. Igor Pottosin is a leader professor of ion transport in University of Colima. His major expertise is in the area of stress physiology and membrane transport. His group's research focus is on (1) Regulation of the intracellular ionic transfer, (2) Biophysics of ion channels; (3) Ca2+ homeostasis and signaling in a plant cell; (4) Physiological function of vacuoles; (5) Role of ion channels in the plant responses to abiotic stress; (6) Polyamines and membrane transporters; and (7) Reactive oxygen species (ROS) and ion transport. Over the last 20 years, He has published over 80 peer reviewed papers, 7 book and chapters. His work has been cited over 1200 times (Web of Science, Dec. 2014), and his current h-index is 20. He has also made 20 conference presentations at various national and international conferences.
