Introduction: Dr. Li Chengdao is the principal research officer and the Leader of barley pre-breeding research in DAFWA (Department of Agriculture and Food, Government of Western Australia). He got the Master degree at Zhejiang University, major in plant genetics and breeding; got Ph.D. degree at University of Adelaide, major in plant molecular genetics. He did lots outstanding work about breeding research in barley. Lots of excellent released barley varieties were breed by him, including Baudin, Hamelin, Vlamingh and so on.
