He got his bachelor degree in the Department of Horticulture in Zhejiang University in 2006, and his master degree and Ph.D degree in Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences in University of Tokyo, respectively in 2009 and 2012. From 2006 to 2012, he successively studied and worked in the Lab.of Plant Molecular Genetics, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Science, The University of Tokyo and the Lab. of Plant Genetics and Breeding, Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University, focusing on the function of new phytohormone strigolactone on rice during germination. His research was published in Plant Cell Physiol. And for excellent academic performance, he was granted a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology during his Ph.D program. Currently, he mainly focuses on Cucurbitaceae crop, and explores the molecular mechanism of waterloggin tolerance of watermelon.
