1) Migration, transformation and fate of pesticides in the environment, speciation and bioavailability (earthworm, plant, microorganism) of pesticides in the environment;

2) Ecological effect and risk assessment of pesticide pollution, including changes in respiratory activity, enzyme activity, functional and structural diversity of microbial community, functional population and so on;

3) Bioremediation of pesticide pollution, including isolation, screening and identification of pesticide-degrading strain, whole genome sequencing and functional annotation of pesticide-degrading strain, biodegradation characteristics and detoxification mechanism of pesticides and so on;

4) Environmental microbiomics, including changes in microbial community structure by high throughput sequencing analysis, changes in diversity and abundance of functional gene by metagenomic analysis, correlation between microbial community structure and ecological function and so on.

Academic overview: We have taken more than 10 national and provincial projects or subprojects that were supported by the National Nature Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National High Technology R&D Program of China, the Public Science and Technology Research Funds of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China and so on. Approximately 50 SCI papers were published in international academic journals, including Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Bioresource Technology, Science of the Total Environment and so on. 4 national invention patents were authorized. We were awarded One Second Class Prize for Environmental Protection Science and Technology of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China.
