 Visiting of Prof. Michael James Considine from University of West Australia (UWA)

 
To promote the international collaboration, Prof. Michael James Considine, invited by Prof. Jingquan Yu, visited Institute of Vegetable Science, Zhejiang University (ZJU) from 30 April to 2 May. Prof. Considine visited the labs and research facilities, listened to the introduction on the development of discipline of vegetable science of our institute, and talked about the metabolism of reactive oxygen species and redox signaling. During his stay, Prof. Considine and Prof. Yu’s group had discussion about the application of ZJU-UWA joint research program (RCA) and the joint international seminar, which will be held in 2015 in UAW. Experts of agriculture from UWA, Leeds University (UK), ZJU and Talimuuniversity (Xinjiang, China) will have in-depth discussion focusing the topic of “Managing Climate Change” and promote the “Tri-brother communication and cooperation program”.
Michael James Considine, Ph D, Professor, College of Plant Biology and Institute of Agriculture, UWA, was born in 1976, and got BSc of Horticuture, UWA in 1997 and Ph D of Biochemistry, UWA in 2001. Prof Considinefocus on research in metabolism of reactive oxygen species and redox signaling in crops.
